Unsure about how to approach your child’s challenges and what type of intervention or assessment makes the most sense? I can meet with you for 1 or 2 50-minute sessions to gather information about your concerns and help you come up with a plan. Psychoeducational (Psych-Ed) Assessments

A psychoeducational assessment explores a child’s cognitive and academic functioning and can identify specific strengths and weaknesses in a child’s learning profile. It can also identify specific diagnoses, such as Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Intellectual Disabilities. Ages 6-13.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessments

I provide psychodiagnostic assessments to determine whether or not your child meets diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder. Each evaluation includes a cognitive or developmental evaluation, as well as a standardized diagnostic interview completed with caregivers (ADI-R) and an in-person standardized diagnostic observation (ADOS-2). Assessments are completed according to the Standards and Guidelines for Assessment and Diagnosis of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in British Columbia.

Children under the age of 6 must also be evaluated by a speech-language pathologist and a paediatrician. I cannot complete an assessment for children under the age of 6 until reports are received from both an SLP and a paediatrician.
